Register for sessions in advance using Robostrar, Basic Inquiry’s online registration system.
Do not enter the Studio if you are sick or have prominent symptoms of a contagious disease.
Respect others’ personal space and maintain appropriate social distances in the Studio.
Follow any instructions given by the Session Manager, including leaving the Studio if so requested.
Respect a maximum Studio occupancy during Studio Sessions of 29 people. (Available artist seats are capped to a lower number to accomodate a model, a session manager, and a contingency margin.)

These rules, protocols and requirements may change at any time.

Session Managers will confirm every participant has pre-registered for the session via Robostrar and record session attendance.
Session Managers will orient, help, and direct session participants and models as needed.
Session Managers will warn, and if necessary remove, any attendee not complying with these Safety Rules or with Basic Inquiry’s other policies.

16 March 2020. Studio closed in first COVID shutdown.
20 June 2020. Limited reopenings: special Saturday sessions.
20 October 2020. Safety rule revision for simplification and clarity.
8 November 2020. Studio closed following BC Provincial Health guidelines.
April – August 2021. Basic runs online drawing sessions while Studio is closed.
July 2021. Studio reopens with Robostrar software handling pre-registrations and contact tracing.
December 2021. Studio closes down for third time, Delta/Omicron.
February 2022. Studio reopens yet again!
March 2022. Simplified and revised Safety Plan.
April 2022. Revised Safety Plan: masks are now optional, proof of vaccination not required.
